The Full Monty Storyline

Most people remember the final scene above all else, however there's much more to The Full Monty than just the lads stripping off in front of the screaming ladies !

The story is a familiar one to people all over the world and in particular Sheffield where times have been tough in the past due to the closure of the City's major employment source.

In Sheffield's case it's the Steel industry that collapsed, was sold, was closed, or moved to other countries leaving the city with just minimal output from what used to be one of the world's major producers of Steel.

And suffering from this are the lads who the movie is centered around as they struggle to find work after a lifetime in Sheffield's steel industry.

With each of the characters coming to terms with unemployment and the various problems this throws at them, they have a lot to contend with and the chance to make a fair bit of cash by stripping is an idea that they eventually embrace.
